The Walt Disney Co. has confirmed that it will host its 50th anniversary celebration of “Frozen” characters on April 12.
The announcement was made today at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, California.
The celebration, which marks the company’s 50th year of existence, will feature performances from the likes of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Idina Castro, Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Lopez, Anna Kendrick, Josh Gad, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis, Chris Pratt, and Robert Downey Jr. Disney will also host a live music festival from April 1 through May 10.
Disney is the fourth-largest movie studio in the world, behind only Warner Bros., Sony, and Paramount, and it has been able to maintain such a large presence on the silver screen thanks to the franchise.
In addition to the live events, the company also owns a large library of live music from some of its most well-known artists, including the likes the Beatles, U2, and Queen.
In 2018, Disney premiered a new live-action feature film, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” that takes place in the magical wizarding world of the series.
The film was also the first in a new trilogy from Warner Bros. and MGM.
