On Tuesday, the Twin Fall Falls Waterfall is scheduled to close for the first time in more than 100 years, but residents and park visitors can still enjoy the waterfalls in the surrounding area.
In a news release, the City of Louisville said the Twin Fell Waterfall has been closed due to a lack of snowpack in the fall of 2019.
The Twin Falls Waterfalls is one of three waterfalls along the Ohio River in Kentucky and Tennessee.
The other two are in Chattanooga and Nashville.
Officials say the closure will take place during the early evening hours on Saturday, Aug. 8.
There is no immediate forecast for when the Twin falls will reopen.
